Our Philosophy

Purpose. It is our goal at Peyton’s Learning Place to create an environment that is full of purpose for children. We will accomplish this mission through daily affirmations, prayers, moral and ethical teachings. We also provide opportunities for staff and families to grow through the positive environment and open invites to onsite trainings and in the community.

Legacy. We strive to create legacy for our families. What this means to us is that through PLP, a strong foundation can be laid for the children that attend our facility. We hope that as they grow, what has been repeated day after day will become important throughout their future.

Passion. At PLP, we care for children with passion. The employees that we invite into our environment possess, and acquire a love for teaching that is energetic and creative. This is accomplished by regular staff meetings and trainings that fill the room with teamwork and positive energy. Our curriculum, called High scope is filled with activities that are hands on. We will strive to become a daily enrichment for employees and families that include education in all subjects as well as Christian teachings.

Program Philosophy

Our program is designed to create a Christian environment where children will feel comfortable to explore the world around them. They will have daily opportunities to learn a variety of skills and build self-confidence by creating their own experiences as well as by being guided by their teachers. We believe that children need to feel competent in order to learn and grow within themselves as well as with others. Parents are the primary role models and caregivers for their children. As teachers we want to work with the guardians of these children in order to provide an environment and routine that works well for every child as an individual.

Team Dantzler - Peyton's Learning Place

“Our family has been with Peyton’s Place for the past 8 years! As a parent, it is so refreshing to have a day care that you totally trust. Peyton’s Place curriculum is second to none. We also appreciate the focus on healthy eating and exercise. Their family-oriented, Christian environment makes them so much more than just a day care – they are a part of our family!”

Childcare programs - testimony

“I couldn’t imagine a better school for my 3 year old! He has learned so much in the few months since he started at PLP. A few of the many things are all his colors in sign language, writing his name, an adorable little prayer to say before they eat, and now he always asks to be excused from the table before getting up.”

Parent resources testimonial

“My daughter absolutely loves her time at Peyton’s and looks forward to attending school every day! Her teacher loves her and encourages her every day. I don’t ever worry when dropping her off whether or not she’s going to learn, be safe or not be taken care of. Miss Brianne does a phenomenal job in her classroom and seeks to develop the student’s learning experience every day! I have seen tremendous growth in my daughter’s development and even confidence in herself since starting Peyton’s Learning Place.”

WHAT MAKES US SPECIAL

Peyton’s Learning Place fosters continuity, active learning and Christian values

CONTINUITY OF CARE

Setting up a system of primary care giving establishes an environment in which meaningful and lasting relationships can develop between caregivers and children as well as between caregivers and families. Continuity of care means that children and caregiver remain together for more than one year, often for the first three years of the child’s life. It can take different forms. Children and caregivers can remain together in the same room or may move together as the children grow.

HIGH SCOPE CURRICULUM

Peyton’s Learning Place uses High Scope Curriculum. It is a child based learning approach that emphasizes “active participatory learning” where children learn through discovery and teachers are facilitators of learning opportunities. Active learning means students have direct, hands-on experiences with people, objects, events and ideas. Children par take in a plan-do-review process and are exposed to teacher planned activities daily which may include literacy/writing, math, social studies and science in a small group setting. Children are also exposed to social interaction in a large group setting. For more information visit www.highscope.org. Our classroom curriculum follows a Program Quality Assessment or PQA.

Christian-based environment

CHRISTIAN BASED ENVIRONMENT

Each classroom is equipped with a Christian teacher who will facilitate our curriculum. The Gospel Project® for Kids immerses kids and preschoolers in the gospel through every story, theological concept, and call to mission from Genesis to Revelation. Ultimately, the gospel message changes everything; heart transformation can only take place when a child experiences the gospel. Through The Gospel Project® for Kids, kids and preschoolers will understand the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story—God’s story of redemption.
